REPOST from the Gothamist:
Starting this Friday, and continuing through Monday September 1st, Shake Shack will be offering up their special edition corn dogs once again (they're only around three times a year: Memorial Day Weekend, July 4th Weekend, and Labor Day Weekend).
To create this meal-on-a-stick, their all-beef hot dogs are "dipped in Shack-made corn batter, cooked golden brown." They're served with Rick's Picks sweet corn relish, and cost $4.50. For dessert? A special edition Peach Pie Oh My Concrete (vanilla frozen custard blended with a slice of delicious Shack-made peach pie), starting at $4.25.
You'll be able to get these two items at every Shake Shack this weekend except for those in ballparks and stadiums. The corn dog will not be available at JFK (where they do offer that amazing breakfast sandwich), however, the Concrete will be. Meanwhile, in Brooklyn’s Flatbush and DUMBO locations only the corn dog will be available. So many rules for a holiday weekend.
And speaking of rules, the National Hot Dog Council says you should never use ketchup on a hot dog... but what about on a corn dog? We reached out to the NHDC and will update when we hear back.
Enjoy,
Terresa =)
