Deverne & The Vintagesoul plays hits from the 70s, 80s, 90s, and up through today's Hip Hop, R&B, Rock, Jazz and Soul, joined by guest singer Carol Williams, best known for her disco hits "More," "Come Back," and "Love Is You."

With the sounds of Afro-Amerindian Mexico, Jarana Beat offers a new interpretation that blends the regional sounds of son jarocho from the Gulf Coast, son guerrerense from the Southern Pacific Coast, son huasteco from the Central & North-Eastern region, mexika from the Central, and norteñafrom the North, all converging into a truly unique New York City sound.
Friday, June 9, 5pm: Latin Festival: Bachata, Merengue, and Salsa - Melvin Elias, Willie Alvarez and his All Star Band featuring Ray Bayona
Raised in both the Dominican Republic and New York City, singer-songwriter and guitarist Melvin Elias is one of the city's most exciting bachata stars, performing original works and the traditional to modern bachata music. Celebrating the world of Puerto Rican salsa, the incredible Willie Alvarez All-Stars featuring Ray Bayona includes music legends that accompanied the iconic Hector Lavoe during the era of "El Cantante De Los Cantantes."

Winter's Eve at Lincoln Square!

On Monday, November 28, 2016 the Lincoln Square Business Improvement District will host the Seventeenth Annual Winter’s Eve at Lincoln Square – New York’s largest holiday festival! Join legendary artists, up-and-coming musicians, dancers, 
street performers and more as we welcome the holiday season and light up the Upper West Side with an evening of music, food, dancing and fun for everyone.
ENTERTAINMENT Lincoln Square’s sidewalks and public spaces will come alive with music, performers, processional groups, jugglers, stilt-walkers and more, making for a festive fun-filled evening along the streets of this dynamic Upper West Side neighborhood.
FOODIES & HOLIDAY CHEER Over 30 of Lincoln Square’s finest restaurants and eateries will offer food tastings at nominal cost ($1-$4) at three separate outdoor locations from 5:30 pm – 8:30 pm. Dozens of local stores and neighborhood institutions will host activities and holiday cheer throughout the evening. The Outdoor Food Tastings are presented by Glenwood.
WHEN: Monday, November 28, 2016, 5:30 pm – 9:00 pm, Rain, Snow or Shine!
WHERE: The celebration begins with the lighting of the Upper West Side Holiday Tree in Dante Park at Broadway & 63rd Street and continues along Broadway from Time Warner Center to 68th Street.

    Enjoy music by local artists and DJs, a sun installation powered by movement on the dance floor, refreshing treats from People's Pops, adult and kid-friendly beverages, a Sunglass Hut pop-up shop and styling station, photo booths, and more.

     at Brooklyn Botanic Garden: Christopher Dylan Herbert's wandering version of Schubert's Winterreise, for baritone and radios. Radios will be available for the first 65 participants.

     in Williamsburg: El Puente CADRE, Southside Merchants and St. Paul's Church fuse the exuberant Caribbean parrandawith the reflective Mexican posada tradition, with music by BombaYo.

    2:00 PMSoho Gamelan Walk

     at Spring Street and 6th Ave: Play cast iron buildings in Soho with composer Daniel Goode.

    2:30 PMFlat Foot Flatbush
     along Flatbush Ave: Appalachian dancing and fiddling led by the Nick Horner Family and Jalopy Theater. (A free workshop at Brooklyn Central Library begins at 1:00 PM.) Claim your free Car2Go

    12/1 - Holiday Eve at Lincoln Center with Tree Lighting, Food Tastings & More!

    The Lincoln Square Business Improvement District and presenting sponsor Time Warner will host the Fourteenth Annual Winter’s Eve at Lincoln Square – New York’s largest holiday festival! Join Tony Award-winning, Broadway legends Brian Stokes Mitchell and Bebe Neuwirth, Rosie’s Theater Kids, Frank London’s Klezmer Brass All-Stars and WABC-TV’s Sade Baderinwa as we welcome the holiday season and light up the Upper West Side with an evening of music, food, dancing, children’s activities and fun for everyone. There will be food tastings ($1-$4) from over 30 area restaurants and shopping throughout the Lincoln Square area. 

    Celebration begins (rain, snow or shine) at 5:30PM with the Upper West Side’s Tree Lighting ceremony at Broadway and 63rd Street. Continues along Broadway from Time Warner Center to 68th Street. Food Tastings officially begin at 6:00-8:30pm.


    Winter's Eve at Lincoln Square is a free event.  Attendees are encouraged to bring a gently used or new coat to Dante Park (Broadway & 63rd Street) to support New York Cares - the official charitable partner of Winter's Eve.

    Pickle Day, you say? What on earth is PICKLE DAY?
    We thought you’d never ask.
    Pickle Day is a neighborhood wide celebration of all things pickled that takes place every autumn in New York’s Lower East Side. The streets come alive with internationally renowned picklers, local vendors, live music, and activities. This celebration of the great LES pickling tradition takes center stage for ONE DAY EVERY YEAR, drawing enthusiasts from ’round the globe to remember their pickled roots!     Back to the ‘hood in style! Lower East Side Opening Night: Art + Fashion rocked the LES in 2013 and we’ll be back at it again.

    LES Opening Night: Art + Fashion is a neighborhood-wide celebration of over 30 fall art openings, live music, and a fashion show that will be taking place smack dab in the middle of our block party. Fashion show looks will be selected by Cosmopolitan.com’s editor, Amy Odell. Throughout the day the block party will feature a stage full of bands, curated by Cake Shop, with DJ Anton Bass of Sea to Sun Recordings, turning it out for the fashion show. As part of this, Paul Taylor 2 dancers will be on stage with a FREE performance as well as on the catwalk revealing those revered ‘Looks of the LES.’ Don’t miss out on this day full of music, DJs, dancing, block partying, fall fashion and art.
