Mister Softee just got some competition — from the city of Hangzhou. Because what better way to teach people than through frozen treats?
An ice cream truck promoting Chinese tourism will arrive in Flatiron Plaza on Thursday, Aug. 20, to serve free scoops in traditional Chinese flavors like like Sweet Olive and Longjing Tea alongside.
Also on hand will be some multicultural ambassadors: two families and two storytellers from the U.S. and China, who just finished the ultimate summer vacation traveling along the ancient Silk Road route. They've made stops in Mykonos, Dubrovnik and Venice, and will be sharing their adventures.
The truck will serve ice cream from 11 a.m. until 6 p.m. at East 23rd Street and Fifth Avenue.
Enjoy,
Terresa =)
