About this Event

ABOUT YOUR TICKETS
After purchasing a ticket, you'll receive an email receipt from Eventbrite that includes the Zoom showroom info. Thanks in advance for not sharing our super secret showroom info!
WHAT IS KHALID'S MOSTLY MUSICAL COMEDY TING?
Khalid's Musical Comedy TING is a weekly mostly musical comedy show hosted by stand-up comedian/delusional Knicks fan/terrible driver Khalid Rahmaan (Conan) on Zoom. Each week, we bring you some of the very best in musical and stand-up comedy. Note: We do not censor our comedians and would not call this show "kid-friendly".
WHERE WILL YOUR MONEY GO?
Your money will go directly to the people making this show, both in front of the screen and behind the screen. As you know, many comedians and event producers make their living by entertaining live audiences. Your donations are paying our performers for making you laugh, as they are without a regular source of income. This income will help them pay for the most basic level of living. Some of our performers are all set and have asked that the money goes to those who need it most, so know that only those needing an immediate income will receive it. Should you wish to tip your performers during or after the show, you can do that @Comedy-Ting on Venmo.
WHAT SHOULD WE KNOW?
We're doing our best! Live comedy wasn't meant to be performed online for an audience in their tastefully decorated homes (we know how you do, playa). Know that our performers are trying to figure out how to connect on this new platform and we hope you'll be entertained! Of course tech issues will come up, but we're in great hands with our super producer Leif Enoksen. As with our live show, we ask that you do not record the show or redistribute in any way. We want this to be a safe space for our performers and a special event for our fans. Lineups are subject to change. Thank you for being here!
Khalid's Mostly Musical Comedy TING is produced by Khalid Rahmaan and Leif Enoksen.
Please email thecomedyting@gmail.com with any questions.

Ends 2/25 - Support Free Computer Science and Coding Classes for Youth - Help CSTUY Get Funding - Vote Through Reddit!

Programming, coding, and computer science skills are increasingly in demand, but youth do not always have access or the money to consider picking it up sometimes.

Enter CSTUY (Computer Science and Technology for Urban Youth), an organization dedicated to bringing computer science and technology related educational opportunities to high school and middle school students. Mike Zamansky, a Stuyvesant Computer Science teacher, along with Sam, and JonAlf, have joined with Jennifer Hsu and Artie Jordan along with other members of the Stuy CS Community to form CSTUY. You can learn more about CSTUY here.

In order to make these opportunities happen, it does cost money to run them. So, if you have an Reddit account, please login and vote for CSTUY to get some much needed funding.  This requires no money out of your pockets and just a few seconds of your time.

Voting ends 2/25 - make sure to get your vote in! CLICK HERE TO VOTE FOR CSTUY!

Thanks for your support!

Yo Quiero NY Dog Cafe! Coming Soon with Your Support!

Yo quiero doggie cafe en Nueva York! Photo source: Shutterstock

If you have heard of the Meow Parlour, cat cafe, you must wonder what about a cafe for dogs?!

Well, it looks like it's in the works. Maggie Chan and Mandy Chow, two friends, are looking to make it become a reality after visiting dog cafes in Korea and playing with strays in Puerto Rico.

The goal is to raise $70,000 through the IndieGoGo campaign here, which will mainly cover rent, renovation costs, permits, licenses and other business costs.  See what perks you can snag if you contribute! So far, they have raised $847.

However, if the campaign is not a success, not all hope is lost. They will look toward investors to make it happen.

In addition, they are looking for a location that is upwards of 2,000 square feet.  Similar to the cat cafe, one section will be the cafe where you can have quick bites and drinks while you can see the dogs play in the playground through the glass.

Dog lovers unite - let's see that there is a Doggie Cafe too!
