A Day For Our Hardest Workers
We dedicated this Free Cone Day to our buzziest workers- the honey bees. In recent years, the honey bee population has been disappearing at an alarming rate, affecting pollination and putting our food system at risk. For the past decade, Häagen-Dazs has been a big defender of honey bees who help us create our most beloved flavors like Strawberry, Rocky Road and Mango. As a part of the "Häagen-Dazs loves Honey Bees Initiative", we hope to give our flying friends some much needed recognition this Free Cone Day.
How You Can Help
Support the buzz by visiting a Häagen-Dazs shop for Free Cone Day
Donate to further the research about the bees and how best to protect their habitat

And you can do that this weekend as scoop shops around the city and country hand out treats on the house for National Ice Cream Day this Sunday. Sweet deal!
The unofficial annual holiday lands on the third Sunday of July — the perfect time of year for a cold snack. At some eateries, you’ll be required to download an app but others let you merely show up.
McDonald’s is just one place where sweet treat lovers can indulge for free this National Ice Cream Day.
(MCDONALDS)
1. McDonald’s
Patrons of the Golden Arches chain can get a free vanilla soft-serve all day long on Sunday, anywhere in the country (mcdonalds.com). This year, all you have to do is download the McDonald’s app to redeem your freebie.
2. Dippin’ Dots
These bite-sized frozen treats will be available in a miniature cup at participating Dippin’ Dots stores — those are actually a thing — throughout the U.S. (dippindots.com)
OddFellows is handing out only 25 free soft-serve cones at its carnival-themed pop-up in NoLita on Sunday. Doors open at noon but you might want to get to this 62 Spring St. location early to snag one, especially since toppings include caramel popcorn and cotton candy. (oddfellowsnyc.com)
4. PetSmart
Yes, PetSmart will be handing out free sundaes to pups and their owners at participating PetSmart PetsHotel locations, like at 623 Broadway, all day long on the holiday.
Famous for their fro-yo, 16 Handles will give you a 4-ounce ice cream sample if you download their app and show it to a cashier. Choose from vanilla, Dutch chocolate or limited-edition strawberry shortcake. (16handles.com)

6. Creamline
At the burger spot’s 180 Seventh Ave. location in Chelsea, free mini-cones of locally sourced vanilla and chocolate ice cream will be handed out every Saturday and Sunday of July to honor the holiday.
Stop by Magnum’s pop-up in the Meatpacking District (875 Washington St.) on Sunday, check in on social media using the hashtag “MagnumNYC,” and indulge in two customizable ice cream bars.
8. Morgenstern’s Finest Ice Cream
In collaboration with real estate listing site StreetEasy, Morgenstern’s created “Brownstone Crunch,” a salted chocolate pretzel ice cream flavor available for (kinda) free all weekend long at its Lower East Side parlor at 2 Rivington St.
You’ll get a scoop if you donate at least $1 — which StreetEasy will match — to Women In Need, a nonprofit that provides shelter for homeless families in the city.
Happy National Ice Cream Day!
Which free ice cream offer will you be running to first?
The roving ice-cream truck will be making two stops throughout the day, the first in Manhattan in front of Cafe Select from 1pm to 3pm and the second in Brooklyn in front of the Williamsburg Whole Foods from 4pm to 6pm.
The themed flavors include the Full Moon (vegan chocolate chip cookie dough), the Eclipse (salted caramel) and the Honey Moon (honeycomb).
What better way to celebrate warm weather in NYC than with free ice cream?! Only want a bite? Even better.
Creamline will launch Mini Ice Cream Cones with a two-day promotion (on June 1st and 2nd) serving free mini cones at both locations (Chelsea Market - 75 9th Avenue and 21st Street - 180 7th Avenue)! Choose from the signature chocolate or vanilla Ronnybrook Farm Dairy soft serve flavors, and enjoy a small indulgence. The cones will be available for purchase ($1 each) as of June 3rd.
Salt & Straw Ice CreamWe'll be offering two exclusive flavors at Daily Provisions in New York: Joe Coffee & Freckled Chocolate and Salted Caraway Rye with Strawberry Cheesecake.
As mentioned earlier today, Salt & Straw lands in New York this week. The Oregon-based brand has ten shops spread throughout Portland, Los Angeles, and San Francisco, and is known for offbeat, inventive flavors that change every month. Daily Provisions will offer three: a Salt & Straw classic called Double Fold Vanilla, in addition to two custom collaborations — the textural, earthy, and sweet Salted Caraway Rye with Strawberry Cheesecake, and Joe Coffee and Freckled Chocolate, a rich, creamy mocha chip. To celebrate the launch, founders Kim and Tyler Malek will be serving $1 scoops on Thursday, May 18, 2017 from 6PM to 8:30PM., with proceeds benefiting Union Square Partnership.
Why now, and why New York? As it turns out, Salt & Straw and Union Square Hospitality Group aren’t just mutual fans of each others’ products and business practices: Danny Meyer’s restaurant group has invested in the company, fueling future growth like this East Coast expansion. Daily Provisions is only the beginning — plans are underway to introduce single-serve cups at Untitled at the Whitney, ice cream by the scoop at the museum’s Studio Cafe, and prepackaged pints at the Meadow, the salt-and-chocolate shop with branches in the West Village and Portland.
Normally the Salt & Straw ice cream at Daily Provisions are $5 a scoop or $7 a double; They're only $1 a scoop on Thursday, May 18, 2017. Address: 103 E. 19th St., near. Park Ave. S., New York, NY; 212-488-1505. Read the inspirational story behind the entrepreneur of Salt & Straw here! Which flavor will you get? Leave a comment below!
