7/12 - Check Out Bastille Day!

Celebrate France’s national holiday at New York’s ultimate street fair!
Sunday, July 12 • noon–5pm
60th Street, from Fifth Avenue to Lexington Avenue
Enjoy an afternoon of French food, culture, and entertainment! This year's edition will include an even greater line-up of exciting events, with new activities including a champagne tasting in our beautiful Skyroom, free film screenings for kids and families, and talented performers making their Bastille Day debut on the main stage. Enter the popular Prize Drawing for a chance to win incredible prizes including trips to Paris, Bordeaux and New Orleans. Indulge in French delicacies like crêpeséclairsmacarons, and more at booths along 60th street. Savor a great selection of wines, cheeses, beers, and cocktails at tastings at FIAF. Enjoy performances by Can-Can dancers, the Chorale Arpège from Martinique, the Franco-American electro/pop/swing band Ginkgoa, the Hungry March Band and more. Les enfants will get a kick out of face painting, arts & crafts, cooking classes, mime acts, and a vintage Citroën car show.

For over ten years, Bastille Day on 60th Street has been the largest public celebration in New York commemorating France’s Independence Day (July 14, 1789) and France's historic friendship with the United States.

8/15 - 2014 Korea Day - Booth Events & K-Pop Contest Showdown!
































The '2014 Korea Day' is finally here!  Well, almost.  The celebrations will begin on August 15, Korean Independence Day, for all lovers of K-Pop and Korean culture.

The booth event event will begin outside New York University's Skirball Center on LaGuardia Place at 3:00 PM and is hosted by the Korean Cultural Service New YorkKorea Tourism OrganizationKorea Health Industry Development Institute, and the Agro-Fisheries Trade Corporation.  

Then, the 'New York K-POP Festival' will take place inside the Skirball Center at 6:00 PM. That event will feature eight competitors who came out on top during the on-line preliminary round of the talent competition.  The winner here will get the chance to enter the '2014 K-POP WORLD FESTIVAL' in South Korea, although, once again, this does not guarantee a place.


There will also be a ton of amazing booths for attendees to try Korean food, don the traditional Hanbok outfit, check out some makeup tutorials, and a lot more!

Admission is free, although you may need to fight for a wristband that ensures a seat inside the Skirball Center for the talent faceoff.  These wristbands will be distributed at the corner of West 3rd Place beginning at 3:00 PM.
