What to Expect at the Staples Back to School Block Party!

The Staples Back to School Block Party is taking place on Saturday, August 17th and Sunday, August 18th, 2019 at your nearest participating Staples location with some locations extending the party to Monday.  See previous blog post.  Get excited for raffles, giveaways and great discounts, including a 20% off school supplies coupon!  Each participating Staples location will be offering different giveaways.

On Saturday, I entered the Staples Kingdom on 769 Broadway, New York, NY (by 8th Street - NYU on the R/W lines) and was greeted by the very welcoming "Staples Queen", Fadilja (also known as the "Store Manager").  She and her staff offered me yummy Dunkin Donut munchkins, Danish cookies and apple juice and dark coffee to drink.

There were also lots of delightful Staples swag which includes pens, notebooks, flash drives, jelly beans in cute tin cans and PopSockets which are great for taking one-handed selfies and as a stand so you don't need to prop your phone to view your favorite YouTube video or shows.  Every customer that entered was cheerfully greeted and asked how they can be of service.  I was very impressed by the level of 1-on-1customer service and attention to detail that each customer received as they arrived with their shopping lists like it was their missions to accomplished.  The Staples Queen's delegation skills were on point and her enthusiasm inspires the team to get the job done with smiles on their faces.

What a fun photo opportunity! Be sure to get on the #StaplesBlock Party Bus.
Also note the cute notebooks in the background!

What is great about this Back to School Block Party is that it is not just about Staples.  It is about bringing together the community.  And that is why the Staples Queen has invited a handful of companies down the block to join in the party.  Make sure to drop by to see what surprises, swags and offers they will be bringing along with them at the event.

The Bank of America team is here along with the Staples Queen and myself.

There is also a special gift for teachers! Are you a teacher? Be sure to drop by the Block Party and show them your teacher ID and you will score a pretty awesome gift like this happy teacher who is all smiles!

What did he receive? Here is a photo hint:

The special gift includes a gift card! ;)

Here I'm checking out the gifts.
The teachers definitely deserve to be recognized for their hard work on shaping the future generations and I applaud Staples's thoughtful gesture for appreciating teachers for making a difference in so many lives.

Families join in the fun of the block party too, with children big and small. The girl was really impressed by the Staples PopSocket giveaway.  It is truly a practical gift and they normally sell for a good $10 each!  But at the block party, this was FREE!

A NYU professor from the area dropped by too!

Interactions at the Bank of America table!

Check out the Classroom Rewards program!  When parents shop, teachers earn 5% back in rewards on every purchase.  See more information in the photo and at this link.

Here I am checking out some nice notebooks located at the lower level of the Staples store.

OMG! Who knew there were so many cute hidden gems that can be found at Staples!
Look at these notebooks, backpacks, water bottles and lunch bags with such adorable creatures on them.  Which ones do you like best?

Had a blast visiting the Staples at 769 Broadway! Make sure to say hi to the Staples Queen/Store Manager, Fadilja.  She and her team will be sure to take care of you.
Also let me know what cute finds you discover at this Staples or the one nearest you!

PS An extra tip for reading to the end:
The Staples at 769 Broadway is extending their Block Party to include
Monday, August 19, 2019.  Don't miss out!

Happy shopping,
Terresa =)
