For the first time, the US Open will come to life at the Seaport District as the US Open. This two-day, multi-faceted event series will feature live entertainment, appearances by tennis pros, culinary personalities and tastings, interactive family activities, US Open trophy photo activation, and much more!

The Seaport Film and Food Festival, a four-week international film and food series in partnership with LW Productions, returns to the Seaport District after a successful inaugural season in 2014. For four consecutive Fridays this July - a delicious array of complimentary food samples and drinks highlighting a different country will be served from 7:00pm, followed by an outdoor free screening of an acclaimed international film at the Front/Row screen at sundown, both located at Fulton and Water Streets.

The scheduled four screenings are as follows:

7/10 - Taiwan – ‘Touch of the light’ presented by Taipei Economic and Cultural Office in New York and TKettle. 2012 drama directed by Jung-chi Chang (110 minutes - Mandarin with English subtitles)

7/17 - Ireland – ’Waking Ned Devine’ presented by Irish Film Board and Ryan Maguire: 1998 comedy directed by Kirk Jones (91 minutes - English)

7/24 - Japan –’Capturing Dad’ presented by Sunrise Mart and Peace and Love Film Festival: 2012 drama directed by Ryota Nakano (74 minutes - Japanese with English subtitles)

Ends 2/1 - Glowing Cube Erected At Seaport For Shopping, Concerts, Workshops & Movie Screenings!

During the month of January, visiting the South Street Seaport will be a, erm, sweeter experience than usual. The Sugarcube, a white, 70-foot-long inflatable igloo has arrived at Fulton Street for free concerts, movie screenings, vinyl sales, and art workshops all month long (though sadly, it does not also act as a bouncy castle).

On afternoons from Thursday to Sunday, there'll be a different themed event—Thursdays will have movie screenings (Enchanted, Little Fugitives, Toxic Avengers, and Teenage Mutant Turtles II); on Fridays, there'll be a DJ happy hour followed by concerts; on Saturdays, bring the kiddos to all-ages art workshops; and on Sundays, shop for records at the Music Market from noon to 5pm.

ModaBox, a fashion-forward New York City women’s retailer and online styling service is hosting the first ever runway show at the beautifully rebuilt South Street Seaport. The event will kick-off New York Fashion Week and celebrate the official launch of moda-box.com.

The NYC based shop turned digital style solution is partnering up with the Howard Hughes Corporation, which manages the downtown tourist destination, to host the fashion show event featuring it’s designers Fall 2014 Women’s Collections featuring men's looks by the eponymous menswear line, Frank DeBourge.
 ModaBox carries designers from around the world, as well as its private collection of contemporary party dresses, separates, coats, and plethora of accessories in prices comparable to most top tier shops. The company’s new online styling service learns shopper preferences through active and passive engagement to provide a seamless, personalized shopping experience, delivered to the shopper's door in a beautifully curated box.

Having hosted many fashion shows since it’s launch in 2009, the ModaBox team is excited to present its first outdoor event under a new name and location - formerly ModaListas at Chelsea’s iconic Limelight.
