Head on down to the Lower East Side this Sunday afternoon to celebrate the Jewish, Chinese and -- for the first time in the festival -- Puerto Rican communities and cultures of the neighborhood.
Tap your feet to klezmer, bomba, plena.
Peking opera and cantorial music;
learn how to make kreplach, empanadas, and dumplings;
witness a Chinese tea ceremony;
learn to speak Yiddish, Mandarin and Spanish;
try your hand at Hebrew and Chinese scribal art;
or make some Puerto Rican and Chinese masks.
And, of course, snack on egg rolls, egg creams and empanadas!
