Attention Whole Foods Market Customers!
As a result of an ordinance passed by the City of New York, as of February 15, 2017, we will charge 5 cents for each paper grocery bag and will no longer be able to offer a reusable bag refund. (For those who don't know, if you say "I have my own bag" and show the reusable tote you're using, you get 10 cents off your purchase for not using/saving a paper bag.)
Bags used for purchases made with EBT payment will not be subject to the 5 cent fee.
If you're already going green with a reusable bag, make sure to save some money with the magic phrase before it no longer works.
