Mario Batali’s monster Italian marketplace, Eataly, is about to be swarmed by Nutella nuts. In the now-gutted Eataly Vino space at their Flatiron grocery giant, Batali & Co. will be opening a Nutella Bar & Creperie Monday night, and they'll be celebrating by serving free bread with gooey Nutella from 5 to 9pm. The chocolate-slathered menu includes Nutella on house-made rustic bread ($2.80), Nutella-filled croissants and brioche ($3.80 each) and hazelnut cookies sandwiched together with Nutella ($4.80). Crêpes will be made to order, topped with the famed chocolate-hazelnut spread, natch. Given the seemingly never-ending crowds at Eataly Chicago’s Nutella Bar, you’re going to want to get there early.

Having lost permission to sell bottles of wine until October, Eataly has replaced the booze with the next best thing: Nutella. The Flatiron mega-market debuts a dedicated Nutella bar this Monday evening, stocked with all manner of baked goods begging for a luscious spread of chocolate-hazelnut decadence.
Nutella vehicles include Eataly's housemade rustic bread ($2.80), muffins ($4.80) and crepes ($5.80). There's also an option to sandwich the spread between two cookies. Is this heaven? Yes, and the first round's on Nutella.
Visit Valhalla beginning Monday, May 12th at 5 p.m., when the Nutella Bar opens to the public with gratis slices of bread slathered with Nutella until 9 p.m.. After that, get your fix daily beginning at 10 a.m. to 11 a.m.
