W New York in collaboration with renowned visual artist Desi Santiago present Casino Diabolique, a unique guest experience taking place at W New York from November 17. Known for his work with Marc Jacobs and Madonna, Desi will be transforming several spaces within the hotel to create a multi-sensory casino and cocktail experience utilizing light, sound, scent, object and performance. Complimentary to both guests and locals, Casino Diabolique will take its participants through an alternate reality in which the players’ luck determine the fate and outcome of their stay at the hotel.
Open from 8-10PM, the Casino Diabolique experience begins at check-in where guests are given casino chips with instructions on how to play. They are then whisked up to the Extreme WOW suites (the W brand’s version of the Presidential Suite) where their fate awaits them through a series of games including The Zodiac Wheel, The Pendulum, Black Jack, and a Tarot card reader. At Casino Diabloque, no one leaves empty handed and prizes provided by W Hotels include room stays, room upgrades, Bliss Spa treatments, complimentary cocktails and a stay at the highly anticipated W Verbier, due to open in December of this year.
The pop-up casino will feature talent wardrobes curated by Hood by Air, custom scents created by Tomas Delucia of The Sense Society, a soundtrack composed by electronic music duo Azari & III and dramatic lighting designed NYC nightlife guru Seva Granik.
