BECOME A PART OF THE BIGGEST PRIDE CELEBRATION IN THE WORLD!
The first March was held in 1970 and has since become an annual civil rights demonstration. Over the years its purpose has broadened to include recognition of the fight against AIDS and to remember those we have lost to illness, violence and neglect.
The March is a celebration of our lives and our community. In 2014, we were joined by over 325 unique marching contingents, representing a vast array of non-profits, community organizations, corporate sponsors, small businesses, political candidates and activists! With over 55 floats making the trek down Fifth Avenue, last year's March was one of the largest and most exciting in history.
Have fun,
Terresa =)

16th Annual Chinatown Lunar New Year Parade & Festival

Ring in the Year of the Sheep at the 16th Annual Chinatown Lunar New
Year Parade & Festival. According to Chinese astrology, people born
under the sign (if you’re turning a multiple of 12 in the next year,
that’s you) love creativity; whether that translates into a
larger-than-usual turnout remains to be seen. Either way, you can
expect crowds, food vendors, traditional lion and dragon dances,
costumes, floats and multicolored confetti that you’ll be picking from
your hair days later. While you’re in the neighborhood, be sure to eat
some auspicious New Year foods, like noodles for longevity and a whole
fish for abundance.

Happy Chinese New Year!

9/21/13, SAT, noon to 10pm, Ahoy, matey, join me @ the PirateCon NYC 2013!

Facebook deets:
https://www.facebook.com/events/176194052437653/

PirateCon is not a movement; not a protest; not sensical… merely an organized convention of fun-loving pirates. We'll be parading around town- pillaging and plundering- and of course stopping at various watering holes to refresh with some delicious pirate drinks!

PirateCon is a FREE event, however it's nice to bring gifts for others to spread pirate cheer!

                                                                         Arghhhhh!

         Terresa :)
