11AM to 4PM
Mott Street and Canal Street Intersection
New York, NY
As one of the most culturally and linguistically diverse groups in America, the AAPI community reminds us that though we all have distinct backgrounds and origins, we are bound in common purpose by our shared hopes and dreams for ourselves and our children” (as shared in the Presidential Proclamation).
We had over 100,000 visitors last year.

This year's theme, we are “Celebrating As One.”

What you'll find at the celebration:
 - Main Stage Performances
 - Martial Arts and Dance Demonstrations
 - Ethnic Cuisine
 - Artisan Demonstrations
 - Community Outreach and Support

There is no cost for the public to attend. See you where Mott Street and Canal Street intersect!

FOR NONPROFIT ORGANIZATIONS:
Rent a booth and help contribute to this community production while also reaching thousands of people at a low cost. Booth rental: www.38capa.eventbrite.com

Organized by the Coalition of Asian Pacific Americans since 1979, this annual festival is the longest running and largest event celebrating Asian Pacific American heritage on the east coast.

2/22 - 16th Annual Chinatown Lunar New Year Parade & Festival!

2015 Lunar New Year

Sunday, February 22, 2015 at 1PM
16th Annual Chinatown Lunar New Year Parade & Festival
Manhattan Chinatown
Begins at Canal St. @ Mott St.
Free

Ring in the Year of the Sheep at the 16th Annual Chinatown Lunar New
Year Parade & Festival. According to Chinese astrology, people born
under the sign (if you’re turning a multiple of 12 in the next year,
that’s you) love creativity; whether that translates into a
larger-than-usual turnout remains to be seen. Either way, you can
expect crowds, food vendors, traditional lion and dragon dances,
costumes, floats and multicolored confetti that you’ll be picking from
your hair days later. While you’re in the neighborhood, be sure to eat
some auspicious New Year foods, like noodles for longevity and a whole
fish for abundance.

Happy Chinese New Year!
Terresa =)
