New York City Celebrates
Dance Week
June 18 – 27, 2015
A 10-Day Event of FREE Dance Classes
Our Mission
NYC Dance Week is a project by Tendu Inc, organized exclusively for charitable and educational purposes, to promote diversity of dance in the City of New York. The organization provides free dance and fitness lessons to the community by partnering with local dance and fitness studios during NYC Dance Week and offers performance/showcase opportunities for emerging dance entities helping them gain exposure in the community through its NYC10 project.

About the Festival
NYC Dance Week (www.nycdanceweek.org) collaborates with noted studios in New York City to celebrate the joy and diversity of dance with an exhilarating 10-day festival of FREE dance, fitness and wellness classes. The event engages the community and families to experience dance, encouraging them to live active, healthy lifestyles. The organization moves beyond traditional dance forms to teach participants how all dance genres benefit mind, body and spirit. The event is being held on June 18 – 27, 2015 at a variety of venues throughout New York City and serves thousands.
Additionally, throughout the year Dance Week promotes dance studios and companies through their newsletter, projects, dance/fitness events and partnerships. Nearly 40 local studios partner with the organization each year to increase public awareness.

Who Will Attend
From the past few years, thousands of dance enthusiasts participated in events ranging from Latin, ballroom, tap, ballet, swing, hip-hop, pilates, yoga and aerial acrobatics.

An Increasingly Popular Event
Dance Week is produced by FitEngine, Inc. and continues to grow in popularity. It is covered in several local media outlets and receives recognition from former officials such as New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg and Borough Presidents Ruben Diaz, Jr. (Bronx), and Scott Stringer (Manhattan).
Dance Week believes that dance contributes to the well-being of both the individuals who watch and perform it and to the community at-large. By offering FREE events to the public in different formats and dance styles, the event brings immense value to the people of New York by encouraging them to be active, to be healthy and to celebrate life.
