In honor of the National Day of Unplugging, SPiN is asking patrons to voluntarily hand their electronics and connect with friends and family. By inviting guests to Unplug and Play, SPiN is also providing opportunities for at-risk youth. In return for guests checking their phones with the club’s smartphone concierge, SPiN will not only provide 30 minutes of free table time. For every checked phone SPiN Foundation will donate $10 to MUSIC UNITES, which connects disadvantaged kids through music.
The ping-pong club shares a mission parallel with that of the National Day of Unplugging: to provide a means to connect with family, friends and colleagues through real world interactions. The Unplug and Play evening not only offers guests a way to interact in a very SPiN-fun way, but also provides a channel to raise awareness and funds for an organization that creates real and authentic experiences for kids through music education.
